An accessory's job is to improve the reader's experience as much as possible without interference. It doesn't matter if it's something hidden or something we touch and handle every time like the cover.

When searching for the best Kindle cover, I considered what its purpose is, just like any other accessory. The cover's primary function is to keep Mr. or Mrs. Kindle safe and secure. The factory cover included with the Kindle is fine to get started, but it certainly is NOT the best Kindle cover choice.

I spent a large amount of time reading Kindle owners' feedback on various forums and sites, and I noticed the complaints and requests that seem to be discussed the most.

Overall, everyone wishes they had an easy way to transport their reading light easily in the cover.

Appearance

We all have unique tastes and personalities, so naturally, the best Kindle cover should have color options. Not everyone likes blue, and probably more dislike red. So, color choice is an important factor in choosing the best Kindle cover.

Availability

This has become a big problem lately. It seems manufacturers are starting to produce so many different designs of covers, they just put out one batch and move on; I have no idea why. It makes finding the best Kindle cover even more difficult when you think you found the perfect cover only to find out it is already out of stock.

That's a depressing moment!

Price

We ARE in a global recession, and it's no surprise that price is a huge consideration. The nicest cover in existence still isn't the best one if it costs your inheritance.

Most of the covers out are under $75 which makes them less of a strain on the checkbook than just a year ago. Still, matching quality, features, and appearance to the best price can be difficult.
